SARATOGA SPRINGS — The Skidmore College hockey team went from a young team a year ago to not as young a team in the 2008-09 renewal.
Skidmore will look to build on last year’s 7-17-2 record. Last year, Skidmore was unable to build on its momentum from a third-place ECAC finish in 2006-07. Part of that can be attributed to injuries late in the year — especially to its defense — and certainly to its youth.
“They’re really positive and excited about this year and they are looking forward to improving on last year,” said fourth-year head coach Neil Sinclair. “In my second year we were third in the ECAC and we were last last year. We’re probably somewhere in the middle. It’s a journey and we’ll progress and figure that out.”
