Thoroughbreds fall short against Kalamazoo

Lexington, Va.-- Kalamazoo defeated Skidmore 66-59 in the consolation game of the Washington and Lee Men's Basketball Tournament.

The Hornets (4-6) led for all but 26 seconds of the second half as they managed to keep the Thoroughbreds (5-5) at bay. Kalamazoo was able to limit Skidmore to just 38.3 percent shooting and forced 26 turnovers en route to the seven-point win.

Melvis Langyintuo paced the Thoroughbreds with 14 points and nine rebounds. First-year guard Gerard O'Shea (West Sand Lake, N.Y./Averill Park) added 12 points.
