Saratoga Springs, N.Y.--The Skidmore College volleyball finished 2-2 in the seven-team Skidmore Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Sports and Recreation Center.  

SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Cortland tied for first with perfect 4-0 records.  The Thoroughbreds (22-9) finish the season next weekend at the Liberty League championship.

The Cardinals were led by Kristin Saheim's nine digs, three blocks and three kills and sophomore Chyresse Wells added 12 digs.

Susan Bodkin had 13 assists, nine digs and two kills and Chyresse Wells recorded 17 digs and two kills for Plattsburgh.

Meredith Palmer recorded 13 kills and eight blocks (seven solo) and freshman Mallory Mendelsohn had 11 kills and 15 assists for the Thoroughbreds.  Lauren Dinsdale tallied 38 digs while junior Becca Orsmby had 30 assists and Kelley Vershbow totaled 17 kills for Skidmore.

Erika VanValkenburg (43 assists, 10 digs) and Eve Richards (11 kills, 12 digs) each had a double-double and senior Rachel Ormsby picked up 18 digs and seven kills for the Dutchwomen.  Bridget Litte added 10 kills and six blocks and Jordan Remillard had 13 kills and five blocks for Union.
