Final Results
Murfreesboro, Tenn.—The Skidmore College riding team tied College of Charleston (S.C.) for fifth place at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show at the Miller Coliseum.
Centenary College (.N.J.) won the 18-team event with 24 points. The University of Kentucky was second with 18 points, while Stanford University and Virginia Intermont College tied for third with 16 points. Skidmore and Charleston had 14 points for fifth.
Jennifer Wilkins won the Open Equitation on the Flat to earn seven points for the Thoroughbreds. Chelsea Jones picked-up four points with a third in the Novice Equitation Over Fences. Alexandra McGuire took fourth in the Walk-Trot-Canter to add three points.
In the individual competition, Grier Filley won the Novice on the Flat. Hanae Kimura was second in the Walk-Trot-Canter and Emily Hottensen took third in the Walk-Trot.
Wilkins also tied for 11th in the Cacchione Cup for the nation’s top high-point riders.
