Syracuse, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College women’s swimming and diving team had another record-setting day at the UNYSCA Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by LeMoyne College at Nottingham High School.
The Thoroughbreds are in 11th place in the 17-team event. Ithaca College continues to lead after day 2. The meet concludes on Saturday.
The 200 Medley Relay of Alena Chubet, Sonia Segal-Smith, Kelsey Carson and Heather Friedman set a college record with a time of 1:56.65, finishing 11th.
The 800 Free Relay of Segal-Smith, Carson, Carrie Koch and Elaine Burns finished 7th overall with a time of 8:09.26.
In the 400 IM, Segal-Smith broke the 400 IM record she set this morning, finishing 9th a time of 4:47.02. Carson finished 11th with a 4:49.80 and Koch finished 19th with a 4:59.38. Segal-Smith also finished 18th in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:13.06. Chubet swam consistently going 1:03.70 in the 100 Backstroke, finishing 18th.
