Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Skidmore College freshman
Nataly Mendoza was named 2010 Liberty League Rookie of the Year as five women's tennis players earned All-Conference honors on Wednesday afternoon.
Mendoza (San Francisco, Calif.), an eight-time Rookie of the Week, posted an 18-6 record at #4 singles and was undefeated in Liberty League action. She also teamed with
Danika Robison (South Burlington, Vt.) at #1 doubles. The duo combined to go 20-9, advancing to the ITA Northeast Championship semifinal and the NY State Tournament #1 doubles final.
Mendoza, Robison and
Rachel Loeb (Greenwood Village, Colo.) were all named All-Conference in singles and
Laura Attley (Chatham, N.J.) was an Honorable Mention singles selection. The team of Mendoza and Robison was an All-Conference selection in doubles and the combo of Loeb and
Brittany Trimble (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) earned Honorable Mention.
The Thoroughbreds will face Mount St. Mary in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, May 14 at Williams College.
