Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Skidmore College men's lacrosse seniors
Scott Grillo and
Cory Barkoff were named to the 2010 All-New York State First Team after their accomplishments this past season.
Grillo (Wellesley, Mass.), the 2010 Liberty League Player of the Year, anchored a defense that allowed just 16 man-up goals and ranked 23
rd nationally, killing off 79.7% of opponents' man-up opportunities. Grillo led the Thoroughbreds with 25 caused turnovers and ranked second with 63 ground balls.
Barkoff (Woodbury, N.Y.), a unanimous First Team All-Liberty League selection, led the league with 62 points, 29 assists and ranked second in goals with 33. In league play this season, Barkoff tallied 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points, 11 points more than the next closest player.
Skidmore finished the 2010 season with a 9-6 record and reached the Liberty League Championship, where they fell to #13 Rensselaer.
