The Skidmore College field hockey, volleyball, and men's and women's soccer teams are back on campus, preparing for their respective season openers.

All four teams will be in contention for Liberty League titles this fall, with the field hockey team looking for its third straight conference championship.

The field hockey team opens its season at home on Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. against Castleton State College.

The men's soccer team starts its season on the road Sept. 1 at Bard College for a 6 p.m. game, playing at home on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. against St. Vincent College in the first round of the Skidmore Alumni Tournament.

The women's soccer team opens at home on Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. against SUNY Plattsburgh in the first round of the Skidmore Invitational. The Thoroughbreds host SUNY New Paltz in the second round on Sept. 4 at 12:30 p.m.

The volleyball team is at Union College on Sept. 3 for a match against the Dutchwomen at 4 p.m. and a match against Sage College at 8 p.m. Skidmore's first home match is Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. against Middlebury College.

The men's and women's tennis teams, men's golf team, and men's and women's crew begin practice the first week of September.
