Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – Skidmore College men's basketball junior
Gerard O'Shea was named to the Liberty League First Team, while senior
Jeff Altimar earned Second Team honors.
O'Shea (West Sand Lake, N.Y.) leads the Thoroughbreds and ranks second in the league with 3.92 assists and 1.80 steals per game, while tying for second on the team with 10.2 points per game. He also leads the league with a 1.96 assist to turnover ratio.
Altimar (Medfield, Mass.) leads Skidmore in scoring with 10.6 points per game while also averaging 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists. Earlier in the season, Altimar became just the 13th player in school history with 1,000 career points.
The Thoroughbreds finished the regular season with a 16-9 overall record and a 10-4 league record. They tied the program record for regular season wins and set a new school record with 10 Liberty League victories.
Skidmore returns to the Liberty League Tournament for a second straight year; they will face Rensselaer at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25 in the semifinals at Hobart.
