On Monday, the Liberty League announced that four Skidmore College student-athletes were recognized for their standout performances during the past week.
Field hockey garnered two awards as Kelly Blackhurst was named Offensive Performer of the Week and Haley McDougall earned Defensive Performer of the Week. Blackhurst accounted for all six Skidmore goals during the week as she tallied four goals and two assists for 10 points. McDougall allowed just three goals on 29 shots during the week, including a 19 save performance against #2 Middlebury. The fifth-ranked Thoroughbreds are 9-1 overall and head to Rochester for a Liberty League showdown this Friday.

Oliver Loutsenko was named men's tennis Performer of the Week after winning the USTA/ITA Northeast Singles Championship this past weekend at Ithaca College. With the win, Loutsenko became the first All-American at singles in program history and he will head to Mobile, Alabama from Oct. 11-14 to play in the USTA/ITA Small College Championships. Loutsenko earned the win after defeating defending champion Yevgeny Perepelov of Hunter 6-2, 5-7, 7-5 in the championship.
Corinne Palmer was named volleyball Performer of the Week for the second straight week after leading Skidmore to a 4-0 weekend in league play. She posted 12 kills and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Bard on Friday before closing the night with 14 kills and four blocks in a 3-1 win over Clarkson. On Saturday, she tallied 20 kills and two blocks against Vassar and capped off the weekend with nine kills and four blocks against St. Lawrence. The Thoroughbreds have now won nine straight to improve to 11-4 overall and 5-0 in league play. They travel to Union on Friday for the Interleague Challenge.
