Geneva, N.Y. - Women's tennis senior Nataly Mendoza reached the finals of the 2012 USTA/ITA Northeast Regionals at William Smith.

Mendoza, a member of the 2011 Northeast regional doubles championship team, reached the finals after defeating Frances Tseng of Rochester 7-5, 6-4.  Mendoza then battled in the final before falling to defending champion Ava Sadeghi of Vassar, 7-6, 6-4.

She was one of five Skidmore individuals to reach the round of 16, the most of any competing school.

The Thoroughbreds return to action on October 6 at RPI.
