Box Score CANTON, NY -- The Skidmore College field hockey team notched its seventh straight win, downing St. Lawrence, 3-1, Saturday in Liberty League play.

The Thoroughbreds improve to 8-1 (2-0 Liberty), while the Saints fall to 2-6 (0-1 Liberty).
Dani DeGregory had a hand in all three Skidmore goals, tallying the game-winning goal in the 38th minute and registering two assists. Kelly Blackhurst netted her team-high 12th goal of the season and Melanie Webb added a goal for the Thoroughbreds. In goal, Haley McDougall made four saves for her eighth win of the season.
Skidmore dominated the game statistically in the second half and broke a 1-1 tie with goals just over five minutes apart.

Blackhurst scored with a redirection inside the post off a penalty corner with DeGregory assisting for the game's first goal 21:34 into play.

The Saints tied the game with 2:14 to go in the half as sophomore Lizzy Saward scored her third of the season, taking a pass from Kate Higgins on the right side of the Skidmore goal and burying a shot from close range.

DeGregory scored the game winner 3:22 into the second half as she collected her own rebound after a Nicole Matos save and put the ball inside the far post for her eighth of the year.
Webb added an insurance goal 5:04 later, as Skidmore turned things around after a defensive stop and DeGregory fed Webb for her fifth goal of the season at 43:26.

Skidmore outshot St. Lawrence 33-12 and finished with a 14-6 advantage in penalty corners.Â
The Thoroughbreds travel to Middlebury Tuesday, Oct. 1 for a 6:30 p.m. game.
