The Thoroughbreds are 2-3 overall and 1-3 in ECAC East play, while the Hawks move to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in the East.

Skidmore had the lone first period goal when
Sean Timmons found the back of the net off a perfect pass in front at 5:27.Â

St. Anselm responded with the three-goal scoring spurt early in the second period to go in front 3-1. Joey Agliato scored a short-handed goal at 1:24, followed by tallies from Nick Leonard at 2:43 and Peter Sikalis at 4:35. Skidmore got one back at 11:12 when
Christian Leahy buried a rebound for his third goal of the season.
Mickey Foley and
Travis Kauffman were credited with the assists.

The Hawks struck first in the third to take a 4-2 lead on Sean Jenkins' third of the season.  The Thoroughbreds hung tough and pulled back to within one when
Marc Cibelli scored from
Jack Sloan and
Kenny Nelson at 12:23.  Skidmore pulled goalie
Jack McDonald for the extra attacker, but Johnny Daniels was able to get lose for the empty netter at 19:48.

St. Anselm outshot Skidmore 27-20.
Ben Freiberg had 11 saves on 13 shots to start the game, with McDonald making 11 saves over the final 35:43.
