Skidmore over Bard 14-4

Box Score KINGSTON, N.Y. – Ten different players scored to lead the Skidmore College women's lacrosse team to a 14-4 win over Bard College on Saturday night, the Thoroughbreds' first Liberty League victory of the season.
 
Skidmore (2-6 overall, 1-1 Liberty League) ran out to a 10-0 lead at halftime and cruised to victory, outshooting Bard 31-12 and winning the battle for ground balls, 33-20.
 
Krista Lamoreaux (Avon, CT), Tess Mattimore (Tiburon, CA), Allison Byrne (West Hartford, CT) and Peggy Healy (Northborough, MA) each scored twice for Skidmore. Single goals were scored by Brittney Dioneda (St. Louis, MO), Keri Wilkins (Hoosick Falls, NY), Emma Hitch (Wellesley, MA), Paige DiAntonio (Morristown, NJ) and Tyler Phillips (Marblehead, MA). Phillips also led the team with five ground balls.
 
Megan Kolopsky (Amherst, NH) and Allie Sosinsky (Medfield, MA) split the goaltending duties; Sosinsky made four saves.
 
Bard (2-4, 0-2 Liberty League) got two goals from Stephanie LaMont (Skippack, PA). Winta Mehari (Stone Mountain, GA) made five saves.
