"Today's game was one for the ages," said Skidmore coach Darren Bennett. "A packed house on the edge of their seats for nearly a full 60 minutes of live action as we grind out a double overtime W versus a talented and hungry conference opponent.

"We talked with our team addimantly about a teams record not supporting their talent and that's exactly what we got this afternoon. A conference team with a losing record and very good players. They lack the depth that we've been lucky to have but they've got a starting 5 that I believe is easily in the top of the conference. They forced us into 50 three point shots and we were able to hit enough of them along with some timely rebounding paybacks to pull out an electric win at home.

"Our kids needed that close win after losing so many close ones earlier in the season. This I think will be something to really build on and hopefully add some thick toughness and resiliency to our core. We made some good things happen when we needed to and continued to get big plays from different people tonight. I love our teams spirit and mental place right now.

"We have a little time off to regroup and refocus as we gear up for two straight road weekends. But right now I want our team to enjoy their efforts, they deserve it."

Skidmore travels to Vassar on Jan. 30 for a 6 p.m. game.
